A postdoctoral position is available in the Institute of Structural and
Molecular Biology to undertake structural analysis of complexes of the
molecular chaperone Hsp90. The position is funded by the BBSRC for two years
and 5 months within the group of Cara Vaughan.

The researcher will be involved in all aspects of the project, from assembling
complexes to determination of structure using both protein crystallography and
single particle electron microscopy. The project would suit a highly motivated
scientist interested in the molecular mechanisms of protein folding, cancer
biology and structural biology.

Applicants must have at least a PhD in structural molecular biology with
experience in protein crystallography or single particle electron microscopy,
and a track record of peer-reviewed publications. Experience of eukaryotic
multi-protein complex expression and purification will be an advantage.

The post is available from January 2014. Informal enquires may be made to Cara
Vaughan ([email protected]). Formal applications must be made via
the website www.bbk.ac.uk/jobs, (search using reference number 11148) must be
submitted before 10 November 2013.
