Postdoctoral position in structural enzymology

The laboratories of Young-Sam Lee and Gregory Bowman at Johns Hopkins
University are seeking a highly motivated and productive scientist to study the
structure and allosteric mechanisms of pyruvate kinase. This postdoc position
will investigate recent observations that a metabolic intermediate called
SAICAR can stimulate pyruvate kinase activity in cancerous cells, which is
important for cell survival in nutrient poor conditions (see Keller et al.,
2012, Science; http://www.sciencemag.org/content/338/6110/1069.abstract).

The ideal candidate will have experience and a track record of success in
biochemistry and protein crystallography. The position is available
immediately, with funding available for two years at the standard NIH stipend
levels. Please send CV and three references to
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> and
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>. Applications will be reviewed until the
position is filled. For more information about the labs see
