A postdoctoral position is open in the lab of Dr. Ming Luo, Ph.D., Professor in
the Department of Chemistry and Center for Diagnostic and Therapeutics, Georgia
State University. Dr. Luo’s lab uses X-ray crystallography and cryoEM to solve
the 3D structure of viruses and viral proteins. We are interested in all
aspects of virus replication and use structural biology to study the mechanism
of the specific viral event. Currently, our primary focus is the replication
mechanism of negative strand RNA viruses, including influenza virus, mumps
virus and vesicular stomatitis virus. Design of novel antiviral inhibitors is
also a major effort. The projects are supported by NIH grants. Candidates with
a background in X-ray crystallography or electron microscopy are desirable.
Applicants please send a letter of application, CV and three references and
their contact information to [email protected].
