An exciting postdoc position is available at the University of Minnesota, USA, Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Biophysics, in the Lab of Mikael Elias (http://www.cbs.umn.edu/lab/elias).
The project scope relate to the cellular phosphate uptake mechanism, a very central cellular mechanism that modulates numerous cellular responses, from quorum sensing to bacterial virulence. The project will involve a significant variety of methods, including state-of-the-art molecular biology, biochemistry, structural biology and bioinformatics. The Fellow will join an exciting new Lab, in a highly stimulating environment, and will have outstanding opportunities. The candidate should hold a PhD thesis in Biochemistry, Molecular biology, Structural Biology or related areas. The fellow should be a passionate and skilled molecular biologist and biochemist.
