Dear CCP4bb members,
A 2-year post-doctoral position is available in the Molecular Assemblies and Signaling team (http://www-dsv.cea.fr/en/ibitecs/6) at the CEA of Saclay, Gif sur Yvette (30 km south of Paris), France Start date : The position is available from september 2014 and will be held open until January 2015. Salary Range: 36000€ - 41000€ per annum Candidate : The post-doc candidate should have a strong background in structural biology. Previous work in peptide chemistry, biochemistry or cellular biology will be appreciated. Project : The project focuses on structural biology of chromatin associated factors. The post-doctoral fellow will undertake structural studies of proteins and complexes involved in the assembly of histones with DNA. He/She will combine complementary methods including NMR, Xray crystallography and biophysical techniques protein-protein interactions. These studies will be associated with functional studies in collaboration with the group of G. Almouzni (Institut Curie). He/She will also contribute to the design inhibitors of the interactions found pertinent in cancer research. This work will be carried out in tight collaboration with the bioinformaticians of the team and groups of chemists.
