Dear all,

I am currently recruiting for a Research Assistant/PhD position in my lab at
Newcastle. The project involves studying the molecular basis of chromosome
synapsis and genetic exchange during mammalian meiosis, principally through
X-ray crystallography and biophysics. I am looking for a highly motivated and
enthusiastic individual who will study and complete their PhD with me whilst
employed as a Research Assistant. An undergraduate degree (or preferably
masters) in biochemistry or related subject would be expected, along with
experience of research in a biochemistry or structural biology laboratory. The
position is tenable for five years, with a starting salary of £26,274. The
closing date for applications is 21st September 2014.

Best wishes,

Owen Davies.
