Dear colleagues, I would like to draw your attention to an upcoming free, educational webinar to be presented by Dr. Wei Liu titled “Femtosecond crystallography of membrane proteins in lipidic cubic phase (LCP).” Despite recent technological advances in heterologous expression, stabilization and crystallization of membrane proteins, structural studies remain difficult. Wei’s presentation will describe the use of serial femtosecond crystallography of membrane proteins in LCP and how this approach holds promise to interrogate this difficult, yet important, class of proteins.
