We are expanding our efforts on human integral membrane protein structural biology at the SGC in Oxford and are seeking a Group Leader to build a new group. We are looking for a young scientist to develop a world-class programme of research, complementing existing strengths at SGC Oxford. S/he will be provided with a well-equipped laboratory, with significant support from the SGC biotechnology and crystallography teams and with funding to hire a core team of scientists. S/he would also be expected to obtain additional grant funding in order to expand the impact of their programme. We are looking for someone who has an outstanding publication record and significant postdoctoral experience in academic or industrial laboratories. They should have significant experience in expressing and purifying membrane proteins for crystallisation and/or functional studies and experience with membrane protein structure and function studies, using either electron microscopy, X-ray crystallography and/or free electron laser.
