A full-time position for a postdoctoral researcher is available in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Chicago to pursue structural studies on a novel ion channel using X-ray crystallography in combination with various biochemical, electrophysiological techniques and molecular dynamics computations.
The ideal candidate will be an independent and highly motivated researcher with a strong background in membrane protein biochemistry and advanced techniques in protein crystallography. Funding for the position is secured for at least 4 years, with opportunities for extension and, depending on performance, promotion to a staff level position allowing for considerable autonomy to develop personal projects. The University of Chicago Library is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer. Please contact me directly if you are interested or know of a suitable candidate ([email protected]).
