Title: Postdoctoral position in protein crystallography of natural product enzymes Location: Dowling lab, Chemistry Department, University of Massachusetts Boston Description: The Dowling lab utilizes biochemical techniques and X-ray crystallography to study the structure and function of important enzyme systems. We currently have funding for a candidate who is interested in studying natural product biosynthetic enzymes. The lab was recently established in the Chemistry Department at UMass Boston and is located in the new Integrated Sciences Complex. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in biological chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field. We are looking for a candidate who will thrive in shaping a new lab, and ideal candidates will have previous experience in protein expression and purification and protein X-ray crystallography.
