Hi Cheng,
it's not strictly a SPR, but does very similar (=the same) things:
BlItz from fortebio (blitzmenow.com)
I guess it costs around 20K€ currently (?)
We have one of those and are very satisfied. The low limit for analytes
is around 10 kDa. So in your case, you might need to couple the peptides
to the sensors. More sensitive and more convenient are the higher priced
machines (K2), however as their price tag is in the range of an SPR, I
would buy them only if I need some screening capabilities.
Best,
Jan
PS: I have no relations to fortebio, other than that we own one...

Dear colleagues,
I would like to ask for asuggestions on bench-top SPR machine. In our
lab we study the interaction between membrane proteins and peptide and
lipid ligands. Our main focus is the structural study. We also want to
use SPR to measure the binding kinetics such as on and off rates. Does
anyone have experience with bench-top SPR like openSPR from Nicoya? It
seems that it is a quite affordable machine. Just wondering how
sensitive it is, how much protein it consumes and how much it costs
for the sensors? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Cheng Zhang
