The “Structural Virology” group located at the Institute of Virology, Hannover 
Medical School, invites applications for a DFG-funded

Post-doctoral position (Structural Biology / Vaccinology / Virology)

within a joint project involving EPFL Lausanne (Switzerland), Twincore and 
Hannover Medical School (Germany). This position is available from April 2017 
for an initial period of 3 years with a possibility to extend to 6 years.

We:


  *   Are interested in developing an efficient Hepatitis C virus vaccine
  *   Are structural biologists (with a preference for X-ray crystallography)
  *   Use a combination of protein biochemistry, immunogen-engineering and 
structural biology
  *   Offer state-of-the-art equipment in protein purification and 
crystallization
  *   Provide an exciting and stimulating scientific environment at Hannover 
Medical School
  *   Have access on-campus to
-      in-house X-ray sources
-      a FACS facility
-      excellent biophysical instrumentation (Biacore, SEC-MALLS, DLS, ITC, AU)

You:


  *   Are interested in developing an efficient Hepatitis C virus vaccine
  *   Hold a Ph.D. in Structural Biology (preferably X-ray crystallography)
  *   Enjoy working both on your own and as part of an international team
  *   Are convinced that antibody techniques hold a great promise for the future
  *   Like to visit international conferences and present your data
  *   Are a creative and enthusiastic individual committed to solve problems
