Two postdoctoral positions are available at the Gabelli lab at the
*Johns Hopkins University – School of Medicine.*
Our lab investigates medically relevant protein complexes using
biochemical and structural approaches with a proven record on
understanding and exploiting the molecular causes of human disease in
cancer, immune regulation and cardiovascular disease resulting from
disruptions in phosphorylation, ubiquitylation, adp-ribosylation and
other signaling networks. The postdoctoral positions are available for
structural biology of the complexes that these proteins make with
substrates, adaptors, regulatory subunits etc and offers an opportunity
to gain experience in drug discovery in an academic setting. The lab has
state of the art facilities for biochemistry, X-ray crystallography,
cryo-EM and a wide range of other biophysical approaches as well as
access to NSLS-II and APS.
The positions are available for fall 2017. Candidates should have (or
will soon be awarded) a PhD degree. We seek highly motivated individuals
proficient in protein expression in insect/mammalian cells and
experience in studying protein-protein interactions willing to work in a
multidisciplinary team.
Interested individuals should submit a CV, a cover letter, and names of
at least two references to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>
