Dear Colleagues,

We accept applications for *1 technician* and *1 PhD student* positions to
work in the *structural biology pipeline* within the Core Facility for
Crystallography and Biophysics at the University of Warsaw, in close
collaboration with the Structural Biology Group of Dr Maria Górna.

These offers are posted here:

The *PhD project* will involve structure-function studies of mitochondrial
post-transcriptional regulators and RNA-binding proteins with helical
repeats. In addition, the student must become familiar with all methods and
services used at the Core Facility for Crystallography and Biophysics. The
project will be highly collaborative with mentoring from foreign partners
and lab visits to USA and UK. The PhD student will be offered a studentship
of 4500 PLN gross (4000 PLN netto) for 35 months starting from 01.03.2018,
with a putative extention for additional 2 years.
The *technician* will help with running all the methods, equipment,
services and collaborations of the Core Facility for Crystallography and
Biophysics. The technician will be offered a salary of 4000 PLN netto for
35 months starting from 01.03.2018, with a putative extention for
additional 2 years. This includes a 3-month trial period.

This is an opportunity to join a young, dynamic team at a launch of a new
facility with all the modern crystallization equipment (robots, plate
hotel, home X-ray sources). The Biological and Chemical Research Centre is
a brand new building which hosts also NMR and computational groups and
provides excellent opportunities for interdisciplinary research. We also
offer international collaborations and support for attendance at
conferences.

To apply, please send your cover letter, CV and reference letters to Prof.
Krzysztof Woźniak at [email protected] (with a reference in the topic
PhD-BIO or Tech-BIO) by February 11th.

Best regards,
Maria Górna
