Dear all, Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Assistant to work in the research group of Dr James Garnett at Queen Mary University London (QMUL). This appointment is funded by the MRCt for 36 months. The appointee will study several type-II secreted substrates/effectors from Legionella pneumophila and dissect the mechanisms by which they are targeted to bacterial and host membranes and their specific functions at these sites. The work will involve using structural biology techniques and functional in vitro/cellular assays to characterise their role during L. pneumophila pathogenesis. Previous experience in X-ray crystallography is essential and experience with other structural biology techniques (e.g. cry-EM, NMR and/or SAXS) is also desirable. Closing date for applications: 31st May 2018
