What happens if you link the version 6 libraries to the non-existent (on your
box) version5 libraries? e.g.
ln -s /usr/lib64/libncurses++.so.6.1 /usr/lib64/libncurses++.so.5
ln -s /usr/lib64/libncurses++w.so.6.1 /usr/lib64/libncurses++w.so.5
ln -s /usr/lib64/libncursesw.so.6.1 /usr/lib64/libncursesw.so.5
