Dear CCP4 community, We (Murali Laboratory at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles) are seeking an experienced Structure Biologist/X-ray crystallographer. The position is at the Senior Scientist (Project Scientist) level and will be filled as soon as possible. The laboratory operates focusing on a number of immune and oncology-associated protein targets. We are equipped with a wide variety of instruments including a Rigaku MicroMax 007-HF X-ray generator/RAXIS IV++ detector, a SensiQ Pioneer SPR system and Art Robbins Gryphon and Scorpion robotics. More details about the laboratory can be found at: http://cedars-sinai.edu/Research/Research-Labs/Murali-Lab/index.aspx Suitable candidates would possess two or more of the following skills: 1) Extensive experience in bacterial and/or insect cell expression/purification 2) Extensive experience with FPLC and HPLC for protein purification/characterization 3) Extensive experience with standard molecular biology techniques, including LIC, qRT-PCR and SDM 4) Some experience using SPR and/or ITC for analyzing both protein-protein and protein-small molecule interactions 5) At least 2-3 years of post-doctoral experience in protein crystallization and structure determination and experience in synchrotron-based structure biology experiments. 7) Experience in Thermal shift assay, ELISAs, protein-DNA complex preparation and some experience in drug development including Fragment based approaches are highly desirable.
