The IGS laboratory (http://www.igs.cnrs-mrs.fr) is offering 2 Post-doc positions for 1 year, renewable up to 3 years, in the context of the ERC project “VIREVOL - Cells and giant viruses: a win-win co-evolution”. The project aims at elucidating how the Mimiviridae genome is packed inside the virus capsid and which is the role of the packaging ATPase in the compaction of DNA into a rod-shape helicoidal structure. Requirements: PhD in physics, biophysics, biological sciences, biochemistry Proven track records in membrane protein structural and functional analysis Prior experience in cryoEM and/or macromolecular crystallography is a plus The positions will start by the end of October 2019 or January 2020, at the latest.
