Postdoctoral researcher in Structural bioinformatics, Manstein lab, Dept.
Structural Biochemistry, Hannover Medical School (MHH), Germany

The project focuses on molecular machines and their role in disease processes.
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher who will support us primarily with
molecular dynamics simulations of ligand-induced changes in the conformational
dynamics of molecular machines and their complexes. Knowledge in 3D structure
determination of protein-protein and protein-ligand complexes is desired.

Our laboratory has state-of-the-art facilities for protein purification,
crystallization, imaging and in situ X-ray diffraction of crystals, and
dedicated computational resources for structural biology and bioinformatics.

Applicants are expected to have: (1) PhD degree, (2) demonstrated competency in
structural bioinformatics, (3) expertise in protein crystallization, X-ray
structure determination and structural analysis, (4) willingness to work as
part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Starting date: 1st November 2020 onwards. Please indicate your availability.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position
is filled.

Application: The application should include (compiled in one .pdf file):
(1) a Letter of motivation describing your key expertise and research
interests, and
(2) CV with list of publications and contact information for 1-2 referees (or
letter of recommendation).

Applications and informal inquiries should be e-mailed to
[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> with the
subject "PDP- Structural bioinformatics".

With kind regards

Joanna Schille
