Dear Colleagues, A postdoctoral position is immediately available for a highly motivated individual interested in understanding the structural mechanisms of ubiquitin signaling. Research is focused on understanding basic molecular mechanisms of the enzymatic machinery responsible for protein ubiquitination, structural characterization of PROTAC complexes with potential therapeutic value, and structure determination of large protein complexes regulated by ubiquitin signaling, particularly those involved in DNA repair. These issues will be addressed using a multidisciplinary approach that includes X-ray crystallography and cryoEM complemented with biochemical/biophysical techniques and cell based assays.
Candidates should hold a recently obtained PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, or related subject, with demonstrated expertise in X-ray crystallography, cryoEM, and/or the biochemical analysis of protein ubiquitination.
