The AfricanCrystallographic Association (AfCA) is scheduled to be officially 
launched atthe 3rd Pan African Conference on Crystallography (PCCr3) in 
January2022 in Nairobi, Kenya. There is also an ongoing initiative for African 
LightSource (AfLS). To foster participation and representation of Ethiopia 
andultimately establish the Ethiopian Crystallographic Association (EtCA), we 
wouldlike to establish an informal networking platform. The platform is to 
createawareness and interdisciplinary network for Ethiopians and other 
individualswith scientific ties Ethiopia who are practicing crystallography in 
any of thefollowing disciplines: 

§ Biological sciences

§ Chemical sciences

§ Environmental sciences

§ Geological sciences

§ Physical Sciences 

§ Material sciences and others
