Dear Colleagues,

I would like to bring to your attention an open faculty position at the
University of Virginia - School of Medicine. The Department of Molecular
Physiology and Biological Physics seeks to recruit an expert in cryo electron
microscopy or tomography at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

The department and the associated Molecular Electron Microscopy Center provide
access to an excellent structural biology infrastructure, including a Titan
Krios equipped with Falcon-3 and Gatan K3 detectors, a Glacios with Falcon-4
detector, in addition to several other screening microscopes.

UVA has a particular strength in membrane biology, biophysics, and cell and
structural biology and fosters collaborative and interdisciplinary biomedical
research. A link to the official positing can be found below. Applicant review
begins on April 1, 2021. However, the position will remain open until filled
with a second round of review beginning September 15, if the position is not
filled by then.

Sincerely,

Jochen Zimmer
