Title: Open Position in Structural Studies of Ion Channels at the
University of Chicago

A full-time position for a postdoctoral researcher is available in the
Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of
Chicago to pursue structural studies on a novel ion channel using X-ray
crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, in combination with various
biochemical, electrophysiological and computational techniques.

The ideal candidate will be an independent and highly motivated researcher
with a strong background in membrane protein biochemistry and advanced
techniques in protein crystallography.

Funding for the position is secured for at least 4 years, with
opportunities for extension and, depending on performance, promotion to a
"Staff Scientist" level position, allowing for considerable autonomy to
develop independent research projects.

Please contact me directly if you are interested or know of a suitable
interested candidate. The search will continue until the position is
filled.
