Hi,

Try Sigma T8253 - 47 mg/ml, 10 mg/mL benzamidine, 3 mM CaCl2 (uninhibited
trypsin tends to chew itself up and not crystallise very well)

Cheers, Janet

Subject: [ccp4bb] catalog number for bovine trypsin?

Dear all...

I want to crystallize trypsin, lots of pdb entries, but so far I have not been
able to found the catalog number from which it was crystallized...

I see many papers with something like:
"Lyophilized bovine pancreas trypsin powder (MW 23 460 Da) was used as
purchased (Sigma Chemicals) without any further purification"

sometime there is no mention at all if it was purchased or not.

If any of you know of a cheap trypsin version (able to crystallize) that would
help me a lot.

Also any tips to this particular protein would be appreciated...

Thanks
