Dear CCP4,

An opportunity is available for a Cryo-EM Center Director Position at the
Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute. The Institute is equipped with a
Thermo Fisher Glacios 200 kV system with Falcon IV detector. A CETA-D detector
and a dedicated computing cluster are also available. The Cryo-EM Center works
closely with the National Crystallization Center, also located in the
Institute. The Center works with industry and academic users providing grid
preparation, grid screening, cryo-EM data collection, data analysis, and
structure determination. The Director is expected to help grow these efforts.
The Center has dedicated sample preparation facilities, a control room, and a
collaboration space. The microscope facilities are specially designed with
electromagnetic, acoustic, and vibration shielding and precise temperature
control. We have a long-term plan to install two more microscopes, and the
facilities are purposely designed for a total of three instruments. The Center
Director will work closely with a business development professional, and our
staff in the Institute and at the IMCA-CAT beamline at the Advanced Photon
Source.

Details of the position and how to apply are available at

inclusive environment for all employees. It has been in Buffalo New York for
over 60 years and is located at the heart of the Buffalo Niagara Medical
Campus. Buffalo is one of the most affordable places to live in the United
States.

The Institute, as an equal opportunity employer, extends employment
opportunities to qualified applicants and employees on a non-discriminatory
