Dear structural neurobiologists, Please have a look at a fantastic meeting planned on the beautiful Greek island of Crete, 23-17 May 2022. This is a unique meeting that brings together some of the best researchers from both the biophysical/structural and the biological neurobiology fields. Deadline: 15 March.
Though the pandemic has certainly made scientific meetings challenging, we hope to hold the meeting in-person, in a wonderful hotel (https://www.fodelebeach.gr/<https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.fodelebeach.gr%2F&data=04%7C01%7Ckolodkin%40jhmi.edu%7C4a9cad30b60e4a40862508d9b4e7036d%7C9fa4f438b1e6473b803f86f8aedf0dec%7C0%7C0%7C637739726569709481%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=uqFUwsyFCwsiwIhgUptic07Qyof27mY8wdd%2FHHwNcOI%3D&reserved=0>) with ample out-door space, and a fine beach. The meeting aims to promote collaboration between experts from the structural, biophysical and 'in vivo' communities. The talks will be on recent breakthroughs in structural biology, super-resolution imaging and advanced biological models in neurobiology. We have designed the programme to promote discussion of cutting-edge methods and results. The sessions include aspects of cellular navigation, wiring, synapse biology, neurovascular processes and highlight progress in understanding associated diseases. Given its cross-disciplinary nature, this EMBO Workshop presents a broad overview of the field, excellent opportunities for discussion, and an insight into the latest technologies. It provides a space for learning, for forging new collaborations, and for presenting ideas that will determine the future of molecular neurobiology. Hope to see many of you there!
