Dear all,

this is to inform interested users from academics and industry that the Centre
for Integrative Biology (CBI) / IGBMC at Illkirch/Strassburg, France is happy
to offer - as part of the iNEXT-Discovery infrastructure - 3 types of access
modalities:

- high-resolution single particle cryo-EM
- enhenced support for cryo-EM ("from sample to classes": which includes
negative staining, cryo-EM tests & sample optimization tests on characterized
protein samples, grid screening, early/mid stage cryo-EM data collection)
- cryo electron tomography

Cryo-EM facilities at CBI/IGBMC:

The cryo-EM facility has Titan Krios and Glacios cryo electron microscopes for
cryo-EM and tomography, cryo-FIB/SEM, super-resolution imaging (dSTORM), and a
suite of associated equipments for sample preparation (grid freezing with
Vitrobot and new Chameleon, HPF) and dedicated computing resources for image
analysis, processing and 3D reconstruction by fluorescence microscopy, single
particle cryo-EM (including on-the-fly data processing) and cryo electron
tomography (cryo-ET). The Titan Krios microscope is equipped with Volta phase
plate (VPP) and Cs corrector, GIF energy filter and K3 & Falcon 3 cameras, the
Glacios with a K2 camera and a Ceta D camera for micro electron diffraction
(μED); a further 300 kV instrument is to be installed 2022/2023.

The Centre for Integrative Biology (CBI) at IGBMC, Illkirch/Strasbourg, France,
provides a cutting-edge scientific and technological environment in integrated
structural biology to address the structure and function of biological systems,
notably on gene expression, from the atomic, molecular to the tissue scales.
The CBI

hosts the French and European Infrastructures for Integrated Structural
Biology, FRISBI https://frisbi.eu<https://frisbi.eu/>, Instruct-ERIC
https://www.structuralbiology.eu<https://www.structuralbiology.eu/> and
iNext-Discovery https://inext-discovery.eu. Nodes of FRISBI and Instruct-ERIC
also provide access for protein sample production, characterisation and
structural analysis.
