hey shawn,
we like our oryx4! it's pretty easy to program and use (after the very helpful
intro from patrick / douglas instruments) - and it has helped our work
enormously. it takes a while to do its job, but for us that is not relevant.
it's more important that it can do all sorts of useful things (like seeding)
and is priced reasonably enough for the university to have bought it for us
(with a little pressure from the DFG).
best

Betreff: [ccp4bb] Crystallization Robots

Hello,

Does anyone have experience with either the Oryx8 or Formulatrix NT8 for
setting up crystallization trays? Both instruments look very capable on paper.
I am looking for something that is easy to use, robust, and can handle a
variety of different crystallization experiments (screening and optimization).
What do you like/dislike about either system?

Thanks for your insights!

Shawn
