With the advent of dedicated cryo-FIB instruments, modern energy filters, fast direct electron detectors and advanced data acquisition, exciting new opportunities have opened for cryo-electron tomography to shed light on fundamental questions in cell and structural biology. In this webinar we will present our next generation Arctis Cryo-PFIB microscope pioneering the systematic production of lamellae from cellular samples for cryo-electron tomography. The new microscope features a state-of-the-art plasma ion source, an automatic sample loading system, integrated fluorescence microscopy for correlative microscopy and direct connectivity to the Cryo-TEM. This enables the production of cryo-lamellae with higher throughput and better productivity than ever before. Learning Objectives * Discover how cryo-electron tomography enables insights into intact cellular environments. * Discuss and explain how the Arctis cryo-plasma FIB works * Uncover how Arctis is used for sample preparation in cryo-electron tomography Leah Lavery, PhD Sr. Marketing Development Manager, Thermo Fisher Scientific thermofisher.com/Arctis <thermofisher.com/Arctis> ######################################################################## To unsubscribe from the CCP4BB list, click the following link: https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/WA-JISC.exe?SUBED1=CCP4BB&A=1 This message was issued to members of www.jiscmail.ac.uk/CCP4BB, a mailing list hosted by www.jiscmail.ac.uk, terms & conditions are available at https://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/policyandsecurity/
