Hi all,
The Kober lab<https://labs.utsouthwestern.edu/kober-lab> at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar for structural biology projects investigating the interplay between lipid metabolism and membrane protein homeostasis. Projects will entail structural determination, biochemical interrogation, and cellular manipulation of membrane E3 ligase complexes with the goal of understanding their regulation and developing tools to modulate their interactions. Our lab is newly established, and postdocs will develop projects in collaboration with a PI who will be intentional about training and supporting their career progression. Lab members have ready access to UTSW’s excellent research infrastructure such as our CryoEM Facility with four cryo-electron microscopes, including two Titan Krios microscopes. Experience with structure determination and/or mammalian cell culture techniques is preferred, but not required. Individuals must have enthusiasm for interdisciplinary research, working in a group, and contributing positively to the training culture at UTSW. Interested candidates should send a short statement of interest and CV with contact information for three references to daniel.ko...@utsouthwestern.edu.
