As Principal Investigator, you will be integrated in Research Unit UCIBIO<http://www.ucibio.pt/>, leading research in the CRYOEM@NOVA<https://sites.fct.unl.pt/cryoem-at-nova>: STRUCTURAL BIOLOGY AND DRUG DISCOVERY LAB, headed by ERA Chair holder Prof. Hartmut Luecke. We are seeking an exceptional candidate to lead our efforts in establishing a cutting-edge biological cryo-EM laboratory. As the Principal Investigator and Leader of the Research Team, you will be responsible for: * Conducting pioneering research in Structural Biology, focusing on high-resolution cryo-EM structures for drug discovery. * Setting up and managing the entire cryo-EM pipeline, from sample preparation to computational analysis. * Participating in the development and implementation of research programs, translating them into projects for external funding. * Leading research and development projects and services in the cryo-EM field. * Providing training in cryo-EM methodology and supervising graduate and postgraduate students. * Establishing international collaborations and contributing to science dissemination and public engagement activities.
