Dear all

We would like to inform you that the next deadline for NEW BAG application
for the new ID29 serial crystallography beamline is on *10 September 2024*.
NB No action is needed from already running BAG proposals at this time.

Proposals can be submitted via the ESRF User portal (https://smis.esrf.fr)

ID29 is equipped with the newly developed MD3upSSX diffractometer - to
perform fast fixed target and foils data collection and can accommodate
other sample delivery methods, such as high viscosity extruders and a tape
drive system for ligand mixing experiments, while user supplied devices can
be accommodated after validation. The beamline produces 90 microsecond
pulses (reducible at 30-20-10 microsecond on request) at the routine
repetition rate of 231hz (increase possible up to 925hz) and with a flux of
> 10^15 ph/s in 1% bandwidth on a 2 um beam spot size. Data is recorded
with a Jungfrau 4M detector, with automatic peak detection and discarding
of empty frames. A fully tunable nanosecond laser is currently under
commissioning and will be available for pump&probe experiment later this
year. Other fixed wavelength laser can be made available upon request.

Rolling access proposal

can be submitted at anytime
