Viruses represent major threats to global health. Historically, pandemics of
influenza, polio, smallpox, and many other viruses have spread through
populations numerous times, killing and maiming millions of individuals.
Outbreaks of influenza A H5N1 are hitting poultry and dairy farms across the
nation, with impact on the economy and public health.

Join our webinar to learn how to use RCSB.org tools to explore atomic-level 3D
structures of influenza A H5N1 viral proteins that help us understand
underlying molecular mechanisms of the virus life cycle. Researchers use these
tools and open-access PDB structural data to find ways to block and fight viral
infection.
