Hampton Research used to have a poster with many different crystals/
morphologies that was very nice.
Maybe they have a version you can download?
Best regards, tom

You don't often get email from [email protected]. Learn why this is
important<https://aka.ms/LearnAboutSenderIdentification>
Thanks Jon! That's a great starting point.
Aside from stl/obj files and Blender, is there another (maybe better) way to
experiment with the crystal faces to explore different shapes?
(something similar like the png attached), but in 3d.

also... is there, by any chance, a gallery of protein crystals showcasing
different shapes?

Thanks again.

There is a crystal morphology viewer here: https://smorf.nl/ which allows you
to save stl files and google says these can be imported into Blender.
Predicting morphology from structure is more at the material science end of the
spectrum and I can't remember anyone doing that for proteins.

Best wishes, Jon Cooper.

I found this site: http://webmineral.com/crystal/Tetragonal.shtml. It’s the
best resource I could find with my super Google skills, though it seems a bit
outdated...

Paper models are great, but is there a gallery of .obj files I can download and
import into Blender?

Also, is it possible to predict the final shape of a protein crystal based on
its unit cell and space group? Sorry if this is a noob question!
