Dear all, Bit a side form crystallography but as structural biology is integrative nowadays, I will take the opportunity to advertise an opening at our cryo-EM core facility at the Institute of Biotechnology, University of Helsinki, Finland.
We are looking to recruit a core facility engineer/specialist/scientist, position is good for someone with good experience in single particle CryoEM and capability for independent operation of cryo-TEM, and interest in running a facility, with possibility of doing structural biology projects with users. The facility currently houses a 200-kV Talos Arctica with a Falcon 4i detector, in addition to a Leica GP2 and Cryosol Vitrojet for grid preparation. We will be upgrading our infrastructure to a 300-kV cryo-TEM and cryo-FIB/SEM in 2027.
