Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the *ESRF User Meeting 2026* will take place *onsite from 2–4 February 2026*. Programme details are available here <https://www.esrf.fr/files/live/sites/www/files/UO/um26/USER%20MEETING%202026.pdf>.

This year’s edition features three Structural Biology–focused tutorials and a microsymposium on Neurobiology across scales.

We look forward to see you in Grenoble!

*09:00–12:00 (hybrid): Structural Biology BAG Meeting: *Updates on the Structural Biology beamlines, with a focus on the new ISPyB interface accessible through the ESRF data portal.*
*

*13:30–14:30 (onsite): Meet the Structural Biology Scientists on the Beamlines: *Informal discussion with the Beamline Scientists

*14:30–17:00 (onsite): Hands-On Training*: Practical sessions on manual and automatic data collection in MXCuBE, from shipment preparation to data reprocessing using the new ISPyB interface, with sample-preparation sessions on ID29, BM29, and CM01.

*User-Dedicated Microsymposium (UDM3) <https://www.esrf.fr/UM2026/UDM3> – Wednesday 4 February*

*08:00–17:00 (onsite): Brilliant Source for Brain Complexity: Synchrotron-Driven Neuroscience Discoveries*

This microsymposium will highlight the expanding role of synchrotron radiation in understanding brain architecture and function. Talks will cover state-of-the-art synchrotron-based imaging, spectroscopy, and structural biology approaches that are reshaping our ability to explore neuronal organisation, dynamics, and disease mechanisms. The programme includes invited speakers as well as presentations selected from submitted abstracts. Poster sessions and coffee breaks will run jointly to promote interaction and scientific exchange.

*Confirmed keynote speakers:*
Nicola GA Abrescia, CIC bioGUNE, Spain
Mariam Andersson,  Danish Research Centre for Magnetic Resonance, Denmark
Radu Aricescu, MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, UK
Joanna Collingwood, University of Warwick, UK
Richard Ortega, CNRS / University of Bordeaux, France
Alejandra Sierra Lopez, University of Eastern Finland, Finland*
