Dear colleagues, We are starting the year on a happy note. As part of a newly funded, interdisciplinary research centre that aims to understand the molecular principles of cellular trigger responses, we have 20 fully-funded PhD studentships at the University of Konstanz.
Of special mention are 2 x PhD positions in an innovative Structural Biology project that combines X-ray crystallography, molecular engineering, biochemical and NMR approaches to decode the mechanisms by which proteins sense and react to mechanical forces. Emphasis is placed on kinase mechanoreceptors. General information on the upcoming research centre, the available PhD positions and how to apply can be found here: https://www.chembiol.uni-konstanz.de/about-us/application/open-positions/ The description of available projects, including the Structural Biology project (PhD positions A04a and A04b) is found here: https://www.chembiol.uni-konstanz.de/about-us/application/open-positions/crc-1756-projects/ Unofficial enquiries on the Structural Biology positions A04a and A04b can be directed to me. For enquiries on other openings, please follow the instructions in the links above. ATTENTION: application deadline is *11th February 2026*. We are much looking forward to hear from interested candidates. My very best wishes for 2026!
