The 4th generation synchrotron source MAX IV welcomes beamtime proposals for
BioMAX, FragMAX, MicroMAX and CoSAXS.

BioMAX and MicroMAX are macromolecular crystallography beamlines. BioMAX is
capable of a wide array of techniques, from high throughput conventional
oscillation experiments to in-situ screening and fixed target serial
crystallography.

MicroMAX is optimized for serial crystallography and time-resolved studies,
with capability for single-crystal experiments. Its versatile sample
environment supports multiple delivery methods, including injector-based and
fixed-target systems. The beamline also offers offline UV–Vis spectroscopy.
LTP (Long Term Proposals) are accepted on MicroMAX for x-ray methodology
development exploiting the use of the high photon flux for structural
characterisation.

FragMAX is a facility for crystallographic fragment and ligand screening at
BioMAX. It is open to users from academia and industry.

The CoSAXS beamline is a state-of-the-art multipurpose Small Angle X-ray
Scattering (SAXS) instrument offering protein solution and time resolved SAXS
amongst other techniques. A wide range of sample environments support these
experiments, including stopped flow and microfluidic platforms.
