Yes, it is down and we currently don’t have manpower to revive and maintain it. For pairwise alignment you can use our FATCAT https://fatcat.godziklab.org/ and for groups of proteins (up to 20) our POSA https://posa.godziklab.org/ servers. Both were recently brought back after a major hacking incident and are still fragile, but they mostly work. Please use and give us feedback
