Histone protein dysregulation has emerged as a key driver of tumorigenesis and aging, making histone-targeting a new frontier in drug discovery. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will help establish powerful new technologies for discovering and characterizing histone-binding/nucleosome-modifying agents and novel chromatin targets. Your research will combine biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, and chemical biology to uncover how small molecules recognize chromatin features and modulate nucleosome structure and activity. The project offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge methodologies, including recombinant chromatin reconstitution, quantitative biochemical and biophysical assays, cryo-electron microscopy, and X-ray crystallography, to visualize molecular interactions at near-atomic resolution and reveal entirely new principles of chromatin recognition and manipulation.
