OK, was wondering along those lines, had found the big chip - the D7220 - 
mentioned as a controller in intel bubble doc but didn't know what sort of 
interface it presented.

Would have been fun to reverse engineer and write a driver if there's no board 
doc/software available, regardless.
The chip docs should be available at least.
