I'm looking for a bunch of OS patches necessary to get Firefox 2 running under Solaris 8 on my Sun Ultra 60. The patch mirror I used previously appears to have dumped the Sun patches in 2014, and the only up to date references I've seen to Sun patches now appear to be locked behind an Oracle cu$tomer $upport login. Perhaps Oracle bludgeoned any open mirrors to death with stacks of C&D letters?
Are there any open mirrors of old Solaris patches lurking out there? Or maybe somebody has a private stash of patches? The ones I need are these ones (or later versions): 108434-17 108435-17 108652-79 108773-18 109704-03 111721-04 114542-01 I have older versions of all but the last one already, which I fetched a few years ago. But the older versions won't allow Firefox 2 (which is the latest browser I've found for Solaris 8 so far) to run. I have Netscape 4.76 on the machine, which is too old to deal well with the modern web. I'm not sure how much better Firefox 2 will be, but I'd like to find out! -- Mark J.
