Having dealt with a *lot* of terminals, and had many of them shipped to me - I have had at least two VT100's broken in shipping. The problem is that there isn't much holding that upper housing on, and it gets pretty brittle with age. Even a well packed one has a good chance of being broken in transit. Other terminals that are difficult to ship include the Zenith Z19 - the picture tube tends to break the posts that hold it in - that plastic has gotten kind of brittle. The VT50 series, while big and bulky, is fairly sturdy and shippable, but the sheer size is a real problem. I don't even want to think about shipping a VT05. That thing is heavy, deep, and fragile. -Ian
