Well, the packages *should* be available for installation, if desired. There are various back doors to linux-embedded appliances (mostly using BusyBox) that employ telnet and ftp and they're not likely to implement ssh. OpenBSD is probably the most draconian in this respect. They don't offer an optional ftpd/telnetd in any package. If you want a cleartext server, you have to find the source, modify and re-compile it yourself. But what I originally stated still holds. Perhaps you don't have plain-text ftp and telnet, but you have the ssh equivalents, so at least you have *something* to get the job done. Mac OS gave me nothing for doing standard stuff over TCP/IP connections. --Chuck
