I learnt something very important about 40 years ago. And that is not to be afraid to try something because you might not be able to do it. And heck, motors are not complicated really. I have an HP9125 plotter (for the 9100 calcualtor), when I got it, both motors had open-circuit windings. I rewound them. It took me a couple of tries, but there was no alternative. -tony
