I think HP(E) acquired (what as left of) Tandem. I think that HP(E) still sells and supports NonStop equipment today.

I'm guessing that NonStop is about as common as IBM mainframes. Maybe slightly less so.

Common? No.
So obscure that no one knows / cars about it?  Nope.
