i am hopeful for the future of small-scale chip fabrication (and also copyright law overhaul, but that’s just unrealistic!) after seeing someone’s project to fab their own CPU in their garage- maybe one day we’ll see shops cropping up that specialize in their ability to replicate old chips? one can dream… :)
