My guess AT&T had scsi era hardware, not super successful, that they sold or re-badged to extend the life of their product line. Would a 3B2 or UNIX PC have a scsi controller for an external storage device? Maybe AT&T sold something compatible with Sun hardware to try to tap into the scsi storage market, for a telecommunications product
