My neighbor had a Citroen. The reservoir for the radiator was directly above the distributor. If the radiator cap leaked even a tiny bit, when it got hot it dripped onto the distributor, shutting down the engine. I guess that was their overtemperature protection system. And every wire in the car went directly to the rat's nest on top of the battery.
