Thank you, I hadn't come across that yet. Their prebuilds and QuickStart readme.txt all worked splendidly. Except, the "tutorial" command did not work for me
The multics TAP is ~5.2MB. I guess the "version" is MR12, and it lets me make files and folders of up to 32 characters. It wasn't clear yet to me on how to list-processes, or to invoke processes to the background. The manuals (so far) described file structure and PL/1 programming stuff, but haven't yet come across sections about processes. ********************************************* list Segments = 4, Lengths = 0. r w 0 12345678901234567890123456789012 r w 0 123456789012345678901234567890 r w 0 12345678901234567890 r w 0 1234567890 r 20:34 0.017 0 level 2 change_wdir abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz123456 r 20:35 0.016 0 level 2 pwd >user_dir_dir>SysAdmin>Repair>test>test2>abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz123456 r 20:35 0.016 0 level 2 ***************************************************** The "tutorial" command requires some kind of extra terminal setup, will have to read more about it later: tutorial tutorial: The specified terminal is not supported by the video system.
